Laura Lands in an Airline Magazine

That's quite a feat, no?

About Laura

Veteran journalist Laura Powell has covered the world of travel for twenty years. She is a fixture on the Washington, D.C. media scene, as the go-to travel expert for WUSA-TV/CBS and NewsChannel 8. She also writes travel supplements for The Washington Post. On radio, she is a correspondent for Around the World Radio, which is syndicated in California and Australia.

Laura started covering travel for CNN. After serving as one of the original producers of CNN International, she moved into travel by creating the network's TravelGuide program. Laura then reported on travel for CNN for nearly five years. Since leaving CNN, Laura has become a nationally-recognized travel expert, having appeared on scores of television and radio programs across the country. She has been seen on ABC's World News This Morning, CNN Headline News, The Today Show/New York, CNBC and Fox News Channel. She's also been interviewed on radio stations ranging from KCBS to WTOP to WGN.

Laura holds an M.A. in European Politics from the University of Essex in Colchester, England and a B.S. Summa Cum Laude in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. Powell also studied at the European University Institute in Fiesole, Italy.
